What a lesson costs

Assessment hour
A full look at every part of your game, and a plan to move it forward that you and your coach agree together.

One-hour lesson
The most popular choice: enough time to make a change and leave with it under way, without being overloaded.

Half-hour lesson
A little polish on the swing, a short-game tip before a big game, or some course-management advice.

Learner group
Four one-hour sessions at the same time each week, six pupils at most, all equipment included. Range balls are extra.

Short-game masterclass
Chipping, pitching, putting and bunkers, 9.30am to 4pm, six at most, with tea, coffee, lunch and notes to take home.

Junior lessons, ages 6 to 18
Private tuition for young golfers: £20 for half an hour, £40 for an hour.

Somewhere to put it into practice

The TrackMan range gives you somewhere to practise at Bird Hills. Range visits operate on a walk-on basis; coaching sessions have their own arrangements.

TrackMan shows you carry distance and ball flight, so what you worked on in a lesson has something to measure itself against.

Golf is a physical and a mental game, so your coach builds the plan around where you actually are rather than a fixed syllabus. Whether you have played for years or a few months, he will put together the most effective route forward.

The academy has over thirty years of coaching experience between it, and group sizes are deliberately kept small.
