Every piece here is written by someone at the club and checked before it goes up. Where an article gives a price, an opening time or a rule, it links to the page that maintains it rather than repeating it, so nothing here goes stale behind your back.
The long read is already here
Before the journal fills up, there is one piece of long-form writing on this site worth your time. The ground Bird Hills occupies was Hawthorn Hill Racecourse: a point-to-point from 1881, a full National Hunt course by the turn of the century, and known in its prime as Little Ascot.
The story runs from the first meeting to the last race in 1939, through a post-war Derby and three seasons of pony racing, to the golf course that opened in 1982. It is told with the club's own archive.
